The Wabash Valley Contractors Association (WVCA) reflects on their successful 2021 Annual Scholarship Golf Outing held earlier this fall. This year, 29 teams composed of 116 golfers gathered on the course to raise money to benefit the WVCA scholarship program. “It was another exciting year of golf and raising money for a great cause,” states Bill Hann Jr., Board President, WVCA. “Our annual golf outing is an opportunity to support our future workforce. We appreciate the continued generosity and support of our members.” The success of the WVCA Scholarship Program is largely a result of the golf outing’s sponsors. Terre Haute Chevrolet, MacAllister Rentals and Top Notch sponsored this year’s event, as well as many years prior. Scholarship recipients must have a parent who is currently employed by a WVCA Participating Organization. Furthermore, they must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 and be entering their junior or senior year of a four-year college or junior or vocational college. WVCA is currently accepting applications for their Spring semester, with applications due December 1, 2021. Applicants are encouraged to apply at www.wabashvalleycontractorsassociation.com/awards.
